Birth Center
We offer a warm and inviting setting with a team of caring professionals who are ready to welcome you into our home and provide you with the highest level of care for the birth of your baby. Our private, luxurious rooms are designed so you can labor, deliver and stay with your newborn.
Our Services
By choosing to deliver here at our Summit County birth center, you will be surrounded by caring, compassionate and experienced staff. All our nurses are certified in advanced electronic fetal monitoring, and several are nationally certified for in-patient obstetrics. Our nurses are here to support you 24 hours a day and answer any questions you may have.
The birth center is serviced by five OB/GYNs and one family practice physician for deliveries. Two pediatricians, two family practitioners and an internist are available to care for your newborn. All of our providers are respectful of your birthing plan and, along with our team of nurses and support staff, will provide personalized care throughout your stay.
We have 24-hour physician coverage for our Level 1 newborn nursery, if your newborn requires some extra care and attention after delivery. When necessary, all nursing staff is trained and skilled in providing collaborative care with the provider to stabilize and transport newborns that require a neonatal intensive care unit.
Birth center features
Here in the birth center, we believe in family centered care. The birth center is designed so you will labor, deliver, and stay with your newborn in the same room. We want to keep you and your new little one close. Rooming in with your newborn encourages bonding and improves breastfeeding outcomes.
Our private rooms are not only beautiful and spacious, but designed to make you feel at home. Our luxurious suites feature private Jacuzzi tubs, Sirius music channels, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, wireless internet connection, and mini-refrigerators. There are pull-out sleeper sofas in every room so your support person can be there throughout your stay. Check out one of our sound machines free of charge to relax to your personal playlist or the sound of ocean waves, and use one of our essential oil diffusers to make the suite your own.
Enjoy our extensive café menu via room service from 700 am - 6:30 pm. Your support person can raid our kitchen for Gatorade or popsicles for you while you labor or midnight snacks while breastfeeding. They will also enjoy one free meal on us during your stay!
We offer a variety of care options that will support individual birth plans. We have wireless fetal monitoring available so you can feel free to move around and even use the tub if your labor requires continuous fetal monitoring. If laboring naturally, we have many comfort techniques available, including the tubs, birth balls, squat bars, music, essential oils and more, along with all our nurses who will assist and support you. Labor Doulas are welcome here in the birth center as well. If choosing an epidural, our anesthesia staff is available around the clock to meet your pain management needs.
Lactation support is available during and after your stay. We have a certified lactation specialist available along with a weekly breastfeeding support group every Tuesday from 2-4 in the ten mile room located at 360 peak one drive, Frisco, CO. All the birth center nurses are trained in breastfeeding support and can assist you as well. We also have donor breast milk available for babies who may need supplementation. Please speak with your physician for more information.

In celebration, we offer a special and lasting way to commemorate the birth of your child. A Star is Born in the Mountain Skies provides a unique opportunity to honor the addition of a new family member.

The colors of the stars are:
- Bronze - $250

Additionally, your gift will help other babies and parents by providing vital technology, equipment, educational opportunities, new programs, and services for families and staff at The Birth Center at St. Anthony Summit Hospital
