CommonSpirit Health clinics are ready and able to safely care for your whole health, but we understand some patients have concerns about seeking care during COVID-19. We are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of you and your loved ones.
- All visitors and caregivers are required to be screened for COVID-19 symptoms before, or upon entering, our clinic.
- A mask or face covering is required to be worn in all areas of our clinic, including exam rooms or hospital.
- If you do not have one, we will provide you with a mask.
- If you are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to age, a medical reason, disability, or it is necessary to see the mouth for communication purposes, we will discuss options with you.
- This complies with the Governor’s order for mandatory face coverings.
- Social distancing is required. We have signs and markings throughout the clinic to help everyone stay 6 feet apart.
- Patients may have one person accompany them to their appointment, based on current visitor restrictions.
- Additional restrictions apply for OB visits; pregnant women should contact their OB care team for more information.
- Remember, all visitors are required to follow our clinic guidelines.

We have instituted multiple measures to ensure the safety for those needing to visit our clinics.
Screening
- We screen all caregivers and staff for elevated temperature and other symptoms prior to the beginning of each shift.
Masks
- Masks are required for all patients and anyone accompanying them. You can use your own mask and if you do not have a mask, one will be provided.
- All providers and staff are required to wear masks.
Cleaning
- Our clinics utilize deep-cleaning and disinfection procedures as recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Centers for Disease Control.
- We disinfect clinic examination rooms between each patient, as well as during after-hours cleaning.
Keeping You Safe
- Well-visits and sick-visits are separated into different times of the day.
- Patient appointments are staggered to avoid too many people crossing paths.
- Clinic waiting rooms are reconfigured using floor markings to allow for proper social distancing.
- Patients can have no more than one person accompany them into our clinics for their appointment.
Q: Will I (or person accompanying me) need to wear a mask?
A: Yes. The CDC recommends masks in any public setting where social distancing is hard to maintain. Patients and their friend or family member accompanying them for their appointment should arrive at the clinic in a mask or face covering and wear it in all areas of the clinic. This complies with the Governor’s order for mandatory face coverings.
If you are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to age, a medical reason, disability or it is necessary to see the mouth for communication purposes, we will discuss options with you.
Q. Will the clinic provide me a mask if I don't have one?
A: Yes, but we recommend that you bring your own due to supply and conservation.
Q: Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
A: We recommend coming to appointments alone unless you need a caregiver or are the parent of a child who is having the appointment.
Q: Should I postpone regular appointments if they are not urgent?
A: No. Be sure to stay on track with all your necessary appointments, whether it’s related to a chronic condition, immunizations, well-care visits or if you are feeling sick. We continue to utilize virtual care for as many needs as possible, and will recommend the right option for you when you call to schedule.
Q: Can I schedule an appointment to get tested for COVID-19?
A: If you are sick, call to schedule an appointment with your provider. They will schedule you for the appropriate visit type to evaluate your symptoms. If necessary your provider will give you a testing order and schedule you for a drive-up test at the nearest location.
