Centura Health, the region’s health care leader, is pleased to announce Angie Simonson has been named the Chief Executive Officer for St. Thomas More Hospital, effective April 18, 2022.
On a mission to support others to reach for the stars, Angie currently serves as the Director of Operations for Ambulatory Services at Centura. During the past two years, she represented Centura on the state-wide transfer center at the Combined Hospital Transfer Center (CHTC) of Colorado during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I feel blessed to be a part of a strong community of caregivers who live out our mission each and every day. I am thrilled for the opportunity to help lead the St. Thomas More ministry as health care continues to evolve,” Angie shares.
During her nearly 10 years with Centura, Angie has built a reputation for connecting with each person she serves. That includes her time working with key teams across our system, including Orthopedics and Spine, Urgent Care, Integrative Medicine, Transfer Center, Joint Ventures and system contracts.

Angie has a master’s degree in Strategic Healthcare Leadership from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in Management and Economics from the University of Denver. She is currently studying to get her doctorate in organizational change and leadership at the University of Southern California.
Angie and her husband, Jason, love spending time on their paddle boards in the summer. She also dedicates her time to focusing on her passion – improved mental health for health care workers.
