(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) May 13, 2024 – CommonSpirit, at the William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, in partnership with OVAL, has officially launched Metabolic Fitness programs. The programs involve the acute responses and persistent changes to exercise that benefit sustained health and optimize sports performance, through the measurement and management of the metabolic system.
“Introducing these specialized fitness programs to our active Colorado Springs community members was an ideal match. The people who live in this town and surrounding areas are active. They place a high value on health and wellness. They are hikers, bikers, runners who are always on the search to find the best ways to maximize their health,” said Michael Roshon, MD, PhD, Co-Executive Director at the William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center.
The exercise physiologists at the Hybl Center are the highest qualified exercise professionals utilizing education, lifestyle intervention and specific forms of exercise to rehabilitate and manage severe and recurring injuries and conditions.
“From weekend warriors to elite athletes, or those working through medical recovery, our programming meets the unique needs of all participants,” Dr. Roshon said.
“OVAL is excited to partner with such an innovative human performance facility where we're able to provide immediate metabolic measurements and provide movement insights for those seeking to gain an edge, relief from chronic conditions, or those wanting to improve their overall health and wellness,” said Navin Ram, OVAL CEO.
Benefits of the metabolic fitness programs may include: optimized workouts, reduced stress and anxiety, lowered risk of chronic diseases, optimized weight and a boosted immune system.
