About Timothy Pater, MD
Dr. Pater joined Orthopaedic and Spine Center of the Rockies in 2005 after completing a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He has received extensive training in reconstructive and arthroscopic techniques for treatment of problems of hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Marquette University and his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Pater specializes in surgery and rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Conditions commonly treated include arthritis related conditions, fractures, repair of both traumatic and sports related injuries, nerve compression and nerve injury, tendonitis and tendon injury, rheumatoid arthritis and other painful conditions of the upper extremity. He is currently involved with ongoing research and has authored and published manuscripts in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals. He has been a presenter at national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Combined Meeting of the American and Japanese Hand Societies.
Dr. Pater is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and he is an Active Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery and is a Member in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
