About Andrea Mertz, MD

Andrea Mertz, MD, engages patients in high-quality, compassionate health care and is committed to making a positive impact on her patients’ lives. She provides a full range of pediatric services, including newborn and well-baby care, same-day sick child visits and more. While she considers the needs of her young patients first, she believes in treating the entire family. 

Dr. Mertz earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and completed her pediatric residency at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, an affiliate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is board-certified in pediatrics. 

As a new mom of twins, Dr. Mertz empathizes with many of the challenges new babies bring. Her hobbies include yoga, skiing, and getting outside as much as possible with her husband, twin boys and dogs.
