About Frederick Lewis, MD
Dr. Lewis grew up in south Denver, graduating from Cherry Creek High School. He attended Colorado College on a Boettcher Scholarship, where he graduated with high honors. He completed medical school, internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta, then returned to the University of Colorado for Fellowship training in Gastroenterology. Dr. Lewis is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and has practiced in south Denver since 1991. He is Past-President of South Denver Gastroenterology and currently serves as regional governor of the American College of Gastroenterology for the state of Colorado. He also serves on the Swedish Medical Center Peer Review Committee and the Craig Rehabilitation Hospital Medical Executive Committee.
Dr. Lewis' clinical interests include therapeutic endoscopy, bile duct and pancreatic diseases, Barrett's esophagus and gastrointestinal problems in brain and spinal cord injury patients.
When not working, Dr. Lewis enjoys biking, open-water swimming and skiing
