About John Heavrin, MD

John Heavrin, MD, is a Board Certified OB/GYN who offers daily women’s care as well as advanced surgical training for the St. Thomas More Physician Group. He joined us in 2013 and is a welcomed addition.

Dr. Heavrin graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Zoology in 1973. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1973, then completed an internship and residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Indiana University Medical Center from 1973- 1976. Dr. Heavrin is involved with numerous professional organizations, certifications and memberships.

Dr. Heavrin is accepting new patients in the Obstetrics/Gynecology clinic. We accept most insurance including United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Humana, Tri-care, Medicaid, and Medicare. He offers advanced surgical training listed below at St Thomas More Hospital.

Dr. Heavrin is married with four children and three grandchildren. When not at work, he enjoys skiing, jogging, swimming, and is an avid golfer. He is passionate about his family, faith, golf history, Colorado sports and Big 10 athletics.
