John Dan earned a bachelor’s degree from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. He went on to earn a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from George Washington university.
John Dan hails from the Chicagoland area. In 2003 when his parents retired, he moved to Fort Myers, Florida. More recently, he and his family moved to Durango to be close to his sister’s family, who live in Bayfield.
