About Justin Atherton, DO
Justin Atherton, MD, believes in providing the same type of compassionate care that he and his loved ones would receive. He works diligently with patients who come to him with various conditions, including biliary disease (acute/chronic cholecystitis), hernia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, and benign colon and rectum diseases.
Dr. Atherton finished his undergraduate degree at the University of Hawaii at Manoa; medical school at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine; and residency at Mercy Medical Center, also in Des Moines, Iowa.
Outside of work, Dr. Atherton enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, golfing, mountain biking and various outdoor activities.
