About Peter Syre, MD
Peter Syre, MD, has a great interest in spinal scoliosis, spinal trauma and tumors of the spine in addition to the breadth of neurosurgical diseases. He believes that the key to exemplary neurosurgical treatment is patient centered care where each treatment is individualized, and each patient is treated as a person, not a disease. With this mindset, patients can have the best outcomes possible and both he and his patients can accomplish their ultimate goal, regaining their life.
Dr. Syre is a board eligible spinal neurosurgeon. He completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania where he pursued further fellowship training in the treatment of spinal disorders; as well as a fellowship as Chief Neurosurgical Registrar, Christchurch Public Hospital, Christchurch New Zealand. Dr. Syre received the Outstanding Resident Research Award-Pan-Philadelphia Neurosurgery Conference in 2012 and is also a St. Jude Neuromodulation Grant recipient.
When not at work, Dr. Syre loves to spend time with his wife and two children, exploring and hiking all of the parks Colorado has to offer and riding his bike.
