About Yolanda Bogaert, MD

Dr. Bogaert joined Colorado Kidney Care in 2008 and sees patients at the Lutheran office. Her main outpatient dialysis units include Goodland, Kansas; Lakewood & Arvada where she enjoys helping her patients' physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. She does in-patient consultations primarily at Lutheran and St. Anthony's Central hospitals. She is completely fluent in Spanish and has many Spanish-speaking patients.
Dr. Bogaert did her M.D./Ph.D. at the George Washington University where she received numerous awards and did her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado. She loved Colorado and stayed to do her fellowship training in Nephrology and Hypertension at the University of Colorado Hospital. She was faculty at the University for 5 years and left to spend more time with patients.
Dr. Bogaert's areas of expertise include hypertension, electrolyte disorders and she is passionate about preserving kidney function through patient education and a close teamwork approach between the patient, family and herself. Dr. Bogaert is married and has two children. She spends her free time running after her very active kids and community projects.
