Birth Center
As an expectant mother, you have important choices to make when it comes to delivering your baby. Our goal at Longmont United Hospital’s BirthPlace is to help you feel empowered to make the best decisions for yourself and your family, in a comfortable, calm environment that also offers the most advanced medical care available in the Longmont area.
We invite you to learn more about what the BirthPlace can offer as part of your birth experience. In-person tours are available so you can see our innovative and supportive environment first-hand.
Focused on You and Your Birthing Journey
Our team at Longmont United Hospital’s BirthPlace believes in patient-centered and patient-directed care. We will guide you through your birth experience, offering compassionate, evidence-based education, allowing you to make decisions along the way. With advanced medical care available for you and your baby should it be necessary, you can enjoy total peace of mind throughout your labor and delivery.
The BirthPlace supports the practice of “rooming in,” meaning your baby remains in your private room with you instead of going to a separate nursery. We also honor the “golden hour,” or the first hour or so immediately after birth, and allow you and your baby skin-to-skin contact for as long as possible. Our private rooms are spacious, comfortable, and feature several amenities for you, baby, and your support system.
