Accreditation

Cancer Center

Accreditation

CommonSpirit’s Cancer Center at St. Anthony North is an accredited cancer program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). This accreditation ensures that our Cancer Center offers integrated and comprehensive cancer care services of the highest quality.

This accreditation is only granted to facilities that comply with the CoC’s rigorous standards, and must go through a re-accreditation process every three years. Only 30% of hospitals treating cancer patients have this special CoC approval and accreditation.

Receiving care at an accredited cancer program ensures you will receive:

  • A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options available for each patient
  • Access to cancer-related information, education, and support

Medical Oncology, Hematology & Chemotherapy

Our hematology and medical oncology outpatient clinic treats malignant solid tumors and blood diseases as well as non-malignant hematologic conditions. Patients receive evaluations and follow-up care from medical oncologists, with treatment options ranging from oral medications to infusion (IV) therapies administered in our 13-chair infusion center.

Chemotherapy is a type of treatment that may be used in your cancer treatment. This is called systemic therapy - a treatment that circulates through the body in the bloodstream. It can include chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy. These therapies are administered by mouth, injection, or infusion.

CommonSpirit Cancer Center St. Anthony North is proud to have Medical Oncology on site that manages chemotherapy treatments. Our board-certified oncologists work closely with all of your providers to create an individualized treatment plan.
