About Krystal Starnes, NP
Krystal Starnes, FNP-C is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Edison State College in Fort Myers, Florida and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. In addition to being a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Krystal is a Critical Care Registered Nurse and has worked in the medical intensive care unit, surgical intensive care unit and neurosurgical intensive care unit of several hospitals around the county.
As a family nurse practitioner, Krystal’s goal is to educate, coach and encourage her patients to make decisions that will allow them to remain on the healthy side of the health continuum. She believes all patients should be treated as equals, without regards to race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or social or economic status. She also looks to partner with her patients throughout their health journey, regardless of the nature of their health problems.
As a result of her training, Krystal specializes in working with patients of all ages. While she enjoys all aspects of family practice, she is especially passionate about adolescent and women's health. She enjoys empowering women of all ages to care for themselves, and to make decisions about their health care that they are comfortable with.
When she is not seeing patients, Krystal enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children. They enjoy all things outdoors including biking, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing and simply relaxing under the beautiful, blue Colorado sky.
