About Cynthia Millward, MD

Cynthia Millward, MD, board-certified general surgeon, believes that caring for patients is a privilege and is dedicated to providing excellent surgical care and building trusting relationships with her patients. Dr. Millward provides surgical treatment of hernias, breast cancer and benign breast conditions, gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal tract diseases, anorectal conditions, thyroid nodules and parathyroid adenomas. She is skilled in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Millward earned her undergraduate degree from Montana State University in Bozeman and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora. She completed her residency at St. Joseph Hospital General Surgery Residency in Denver.

Dr. Millward was born and raised in Durango, Colorado. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, rafting, paddle boarding, hiking, and camping with family. She also enjoys creative pursuits such as silversmithing, stained glass, and painting.
