About Edward Jonassen, MD
Edward Jonassen, MD, FAAOS, believes in fostering a close professional relationship with his patients. He ensures that his patients are well informed of their treatment options, including expected benefits and potential risks. Dr. Jonassen practices state-of-the-art, evidence-based orthopedics and works to help his patients feel in control and positive.
Dr. Jonassen received his bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Calgary in Canada. He completed his medical degree and orthopedic residency at the University of Calgary Medical School in Canada. Afterwards, Dr. Jonassen completed an orthopedic fellowship in trauma at the University of Washington in Seattle and another fellowship, specializing in joint replacement, at the University of Colorado Denver. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Jonassen enjoys spending time with his wife and family, skiing, hiking and biking.
