About Lewis Barnett, DO
L. Brian Barnett, DO, is an interventional sports, spine and regenerative medicine specialist with CommonSpirit Summit Orthopedics. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Dr. Barnett focuses on the root cause of injury and pain while developing a comprehensive treatment plan. He uses multiple technologies, often combined, to make complete and accurate diagnosis and to deliver treatments with a high level of precision.
Dr. Barnett specializes in non-operative treatments of sports, musculoskeletal and spine injuries. Treatment options offered by Dr. Barnett include orthobiologics using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow-derived signaling cells (BMAC), and conventional treatments such as radiofrequency ablations and steroid injections.
Dr. Barnett served in the U.S. Navy and as a Peace Corps volunteer. He completed his B.A. in African History and European Colonialism at San Francisco State University. He attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed residency at the University of Kentucky. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Spine, Sports and Regenerative Medicine at the esteemed Bodor Clinic in Napa, California.
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Barnett enjoys international travel, river rafting, cycling, alpine and backcountry skiing, hiking, reading a quality book, collecting vinyl records with his wife, and watching in amazement as his young daughter develops new language, cycling and violin skills.
Dr. Barnett is thrilled to be able to return to his home state and care for the residents of Summit County.
