About Alya Riaz, MD

Alya Riaz, MD, specializes in general surgery, with a focus on colorectal cancer, gallbladder surgery, hernias, colonoscopy, appendectomy, hemorrhoids and other anorectal diseases. She is dedicated to providing excellent patient care to every individual, treating them with the same compassion and respect she would offer her own family. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients and strives to make a positive difference in their lives. 

Dr. Riaz earned her medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Pakistan, followed by residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York and a fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. 

Outside of her work, Dr. Riaz enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors.
