About Elizabeth Groff, MD
Dr. Groff grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Williams College in Massachusetts for college, majoring in English and Women's Studies. After a year of travel, she headed to Philadelphia for medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. During a "Year Out" from Penn, she traveled to Costa Rica, Ecuador and Kenya, learning more about medicine and life along the way. She completed her residency in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina.
Wanting to speak Spanish and deliver babies, she moved to Colorado to work with Salud Family Health Center in Brighton. At Salud she practiced full-spectrum family medicine for ten years, focusing on the care of underserved patients. She is thrilled to have joined the residency in 2011, where she is the Associate Program Director at the 84th Ave Health Neighborhood site. She is also involved in organizing the Global Health Interest Group, including work with the program in Haiti.
Outside of work, she loves to garden, cook and practice yoga. Her husband and two sons keep her updated on the Colorado Rapids soccer team among other things.
