About Kari Uusinarkaus, MD
Kari Uusinarkaus, MD, recognizes the importance of providing care and treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, cultural, social and spiritual aspects that define us as individuals. He has a deep commitment to caring for the whole person. Dr. Uusinarkaus offers a full range of care for all ages, providing well visits and physical examinations. His expertise includes procedures for skin biopsy, joint injection and cryotherapy and his specialties include management of chronic diseases, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity and acute conditions.
A board-certified provider, Dr. Uusinarkaus earned his medical degree in 1994 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in family medicine at the University of Cincinnati in 1997 and received board certification in clinical lipidology in 2005. Dr. Uusinarkaus currently serves as a primary care medical director for CommonSpirit Health and Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado.
When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Uusinarkaus enjoys travel and exploration, trail running, hiking, skiing, music and reading.
