SARCon 2024
Join first responders from across the state for our annual Search and Rescue Conference’s (SARCon) 15th year in beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. This will be the 8th year of Flight For Life Colorado’s partnership with the Colorado Search and Rescue Association (CSAR) in sponsoring the weekend event. This conference will include medical, backcountry SAR, and technical classroom / field education sessions for participants to choose from. CEUs will be available. This year’s keynote speaker will be Flight For Life Colorado helicopter pilot Pemba Sherpa, a veteran of Nepal’s search and rescue programs with extensive experience operating in the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest.

Flight For Life operates out of Denver, Frisco, Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Durango to transport patients to the most appropriate hospital, operating within the Colorado trauma system rules for trauma patients. Unique capabilities in addition general transport capabilities include:
- Whole blood to transfuse for patients with traumatic hemorrhage.
- Cardiac life-sustaining technology including Resuscitative Endovascular Balloon Occlusion of the Aorta (REBOA), intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella ventricular assist device and ECMO heart and lung assist.
- High risk obstetrical care
- Pediatric critical care
- Mountain rescue with high-altitude landing and back country capabilities
Flight For Life Colorado provides critical care transport with five helicopters, three ambulances and three airplanes operating out of the Denver metro area, Summit County, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Durango.
Equipped with the industry's leading technology and an experienced team, Flight For Life Colorado transports patients across several states in the Rocky Mountain Region. We also assist search and rescue agencies with specialized services, including aerial search support and our Avalanche Deployment Program.
