About Brian Kilmartin, MD
Brian Kilmartin, MD upholds that it is important to offer high-quality, evidence-based care while also emphasizing each patient's unique needs. He commits himself to staying up-to-date on the latest literature and techniques in cardiac surgery. He uses this knowledge to tailor his care plans after getting to know his patients. Additionally, he is passionate about creating an environment that allows the care team to come together and deliver excellent, personalized care to each patient.
Dr. Kilmartin received his undergraduate degree Lafayette College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Art in Religious Studies. He then attended St. Louis University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree and completed a residency in General Surgery and fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland. Dr. Kilmartin’s expertise includes treatment of coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, heart arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, and aortic disease.
When not treating patients, Dr. Kilmartin enjoys playing rugby, spending time with family, international travel, hiking and exercise.
