About Luke Johnson, MD
Dr. Johnson is board certified in anesthesiology and specializes in pain management. He completed medical school and residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora and an interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado Hospital. He specializes in epidural steroid injections, facet injections, medial branch injections and ablations, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, peripheral joint injections, trigger point injections, and spinal cord stimulation.
He believes that pain has physical, emotional, and spiritual origins. Obtaining a comprehensive view of the patient helps him treat pain from these three perspectives. His goal is to restore functionality and to improve quality of life using minimally invasive procedures, physical therapy, and medical treatments while keeping in mind that each patient is an individual to whom care should be tailored. He often finds that a listening ear and a willingness to journey alongside his patients in their pain is invaluable in the healing process.
When not in the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his family, basketball, fly fishing, and woodworking.
