About Mackenzie Goodwin, MD
Mackenzie Goodwin, MD, is a general surgeon who specializes in hernia treatment and surgical oncology. She aims to educate patients — and their families — about their health and disease process. Together, doctor and patient develop a plan to improve quality of life through surgery and beyond. Dr. Goodwin works with patients who present with a variety of conditions, ranging from breast and colon cancer to gallbladder problems and soft tissue masses.
Dr. Goodwin received her bachelor’s degree in human physiology from McGill University in Montreal. She attended McMaster University (Hamilton, ON, Canada) for her master’s in pathology and molecular medicine, followed by medical school at the American University of the Caribbean (Cupecoy, Netherlands Antilles). Dr. Goodwin completed residency in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, as well as an NIH T32 surgical oncology research fellowship at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Goodwin offers surgery at Holy Cross Mountain Point, Jordan Valley and Jordan Valley West hospitals.
Dr. Goodwin enjoys hiking with her dogs, gardening and yoga.
