About Meredith Cassidy, MD
Dr. Cassidy joined Academy Women’s Healthcare Associates in March 2002 after leaving the United States Air Force where she was serving in the USAF Academy hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology clinic. Dr. Cassidy was born and raised in northeastern Ohio. She graduated from Cedarville College (1988) and from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (1993). She completed her obstetrics and gynecology internship and residency at Lackland Air Force Base in 1997. Dr. Cassidy strives to give each patient excellent care. One of the things she finds most fulfilling is to walk beside a woman during pregnancy and to share in the joy of new birth. She also counts it a privilege to provide guidance during women’s transitions in life, sometimes this means sharing in the sorrow of infertility or pregnancy loss. In all that she does as a doctor, she seeks to show Christ’s love and compassion to every patient.
Dr. Cassidy, who is married with two sons, has varied interests in outdoor activities such as hiking, ATV riding, and camping with her family, while reveling in the beauty of God’s creation. She enjoys travel—the highlight was a recent hiking trip through Egypt, Jordan, and Israel. She enjoys a variety of live music venues including Blues and Colorado Springs Philharmonic concerts. She and her husband are long-term members of Pulpit Rock Church. Her favorite ways to relax and unwind are cycling and outdoor landscaping. Dr. Cassidy has a special interest in Ecuador and has gone there twice for short-term medical mission work.
