About Robert Michael, MD
Dr. Robert Michael is originally from Chicago, where he graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 2003. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Chicago and then completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine. He moved to Colorado in 2012 to pursue his passion for outdoor sports and active living.
Dr. Michael is dedicated to caring for active individuals of all ages and promoting healthy lifestyle habits. He has particular interests in musculoskeletal health and sports medicine, and the use of ultrasound in diagnosis and treatment. With his specialized training, he treats acute, chronic, and overuse injuries, including providing therapeutic injections and concussion diagnosis and management.
Dr. Michael serves as a team physician for Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian University, and he holds certification as a ringside physician with USA Boxing. He is a faculty instructor within the St. Anthony North Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship, and he maintains membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
When he’s not working, Dr. Michael enjoys spending time with his family and friends, snowboarding, and attending concerts at Red Rocks.
