About Sarah Liegl, MD
Dr. Liegl grew up in Denver and received her BA in History from Grinnell College in Iowa. She spent a hectic year in Johannesburg, South Africa doing HIV counseling before attending medical school at Loyola University in Chicago. Sarah completed her residency and learned Spanish in Greeley, CO where she was on the community health center ("Sunrise") track.
Following residency, Sarah worked in an urban clinic in Washington D.C., where she fulfilled her National Health Service Corp Scholar obligation. It was at this site where she fell in love with residents and teaching, and went on to become faculty at the Georgetown Family Medicine Residency.
Tired of traffic and wanting to be close to family, Sarah moved back to Denver in 2013 and is thrilled to continue in an academic position at St. Anthony North Family Medicine. Her medical interests include all things women's health, pediatrics, international medicine, and caring for under served populations.
Outside of work she keeps busy with her husband, two children, and enjoys running, reading, and travel.
