About Tambra Yates, CNM
Tambra Yates, CNM, is committed to caring for her patients to address their concerns in the best way possible to meet the unique needs of each patient, in a way that incorporates them into the medical process of making their lives better. Tambra’s passion is to ensure children have the best chance in life. This stems from ensuring healthy parents, opportunities to learn, and promoting research-based methods of care and counseling to women to empower them to be a strong, independent, and a decisive force in the family.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Tambra obtained dual certification with a Master of Science in Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). She then went on to earn a master’s in English and Creative Writing, followed by her Doctorate in Nursing.
Tambra specializes in treating women of all ages through the span of life associated with a variety of gynecological and obstetrical concerns. Her expertise includes procedures for OB assessments, Well Woman exams, a variety of contraceptive methods, biopsies, colposcopies, and vaginal exams.
When not working with patients, Tambra loves to write children’s stories and has recently published a book entitled “The Alphabet Stories”. She is currently working on her second book which is a book of adventure following a magical boy through many adventures to find himself and his purpose in life. Additionally, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and staying active in community education for children.
