About Kara Bradford, NP
Kara Bradford, APRN, FNP-C, is devoted to treating and educating patients of all ages about their health. Kara’s passion for preventative medicine, acute care, and treatment of chronic illnesses helps her patients live their best lives. She provides comprehensive family primary care services, including acute care, preventive services, well-child visits, and management of chronic conditions. She also performs simple procedures including cryotherapy, skin biopsy, and simple joint infections.
Kara has extensive experience working as a Registered Nurse with over a decade in the hospital setting, including the ICU, Cardiac Unite, and Cardiac Cath Lab at Mercy Hospital. She started her career in medicine as a Certified Nurse Assistant, advancing to Licensed Practical Nurse, and then Registered Nurse. Kara has long provided well-rounded, compassionate care in Durango and the surrounding communities. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado, an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Pikes Peak Community College, and a Master of Science in Nursing Family Practice Primary Care Nurse Practitioner through the University of Colorado. She is board certified.
In her free time, Kara enjoys hiking, biking and camping with her family as well as cooking and gardening. She aims to help you enjoy what you like to do for years to come.
