About Katie Smith, PA-C
Katie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in biology and chemistry from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Prior to joining CHPG, she spent four years working in a family medicine/urgent care clinic developing a wide variety of family medicine and urgent care clinical skills.
Katie enjoys the full spectrum of family practice and ha s a particular interest in: preventative care (well child checks, well woman exams & routine physicals). She encourages healthy everyday living in order to avoid unnecessary prescriptive medications. She feels strongly in treating the whole person including body, mind, soul and spirit. She likes to connect with patients in order to meet them where there at in life, offering them treatment options that are medically sound, up to date and fit with each person's individual lifestyle and beliefs. She also enjoys performing small procedures such as joint injections, biopsies and laceration repairs.
When not practicing medicine Katie enjoys skiing, cycling, running and camping. She's actively involved in her church community in Denver and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
