At Southern Colorado Family Medicine (SCFM), we provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages. Located on the campus of St. Mary-Corwin Hospital, our team of compassionate health care professionals is committed to caring for both acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring that you and your loved ones receive the highest standard of medical care.

Your comfort and ease in discussing your healthcare concerns are of utmost importance to us. Many of our medical forms, instructions, and educational materials are available in both English and Spanish to facilitate comprehension. Additional languages may also be spoken by our providers (view profiles below) and we are always able to offer interpreter services.

Acute and chronic care for all ages
Our clinic offers a wide range of services to address acute health concerns, including injuries, infections and sudden illnesses. We specialize in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and more, providing ongoing care and treatment plans. Our experienced medical team is equipped to provide age-appropriate care for every member of your family, from infants to seniors.
Obstetrics and Women's Health

From pap smears to colposcopy and LEEP procedures, our gynecological services cater to your ongoing health needs.
Preconception and Family Care
Our comprehensive care extends beyond pregnancy to the entire family, offering services, from preconception planning to optimization of chronic health conditions before, during and after pregnancy and postpartum care for parents and infants.
Our team provides comprehensive prenatal care to support you throughout your pregnancy journey, including routine visits, dating ultrasounds, monitoring of risks factors and general guidance for a healthy pregnancy. Our clinic also accepts Medicaid.

We offer safe and supportive delivery services for expectant mothers, ensuring a comfortable birthing experience.
After delivery, we continue to care for both you and your newborn with postpartum services to address any health concerns.
SCFM has multiple providers who have completed advanced training and/or have real life experience with breastfeeding, including a certified lactation consultant. We stock and can order breast pumps for our patients and recommend a lactation app for those interested.
At SCFM, we understand the significance of continuity of care. This commitment not only fosters trust but also ensures that you receive consistent and personalized care throughout your pregnancy journey. With rare exceptions, your doctor for prenatal care will be the doctor at your delivery.
Our resident physicians are always present on labor and delivery and on call for emergency phone support at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo.
Our in-house ultrasound services include dating ultrasounds, anatomic screening at approximately 20 weeks and various antenatal testing options. This enables us to monitor your pregnancy closely and provide real-time results.
We collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists to provide expert care for high-risk pregnancies.
We have a full-time registered nurse (RN) dedicated to our pregnant patients that can help link you to community resources and coordinate care.
Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and peer support services are available for pregnant individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
These hands-on appointments by SCFM osteopathic doctors (DOs) can help with new pain (like lower back) as the result of your changing body in pregnancy, existing pain that is getting worse and pain following a fall, car accident, birth, etc.

Common Neuromuscular Conditions
Our treatments target chronic pain, pulled muscles, and sports injuries, among other conditions.
We provide acupuncture therapy for pain management and overall wellbeing.
Our approach includes myofascial release techniques to relieve tension and discomfort.
Cranial techniques address various neuromuscular conditions, including headaches.
We offer hands-on HVLA adjustments for musculoskeletal issues such as back pain.
Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
Our pediatric services cover a wide range of health issues, from common colds and illnesses to long-term conditions.
Our annual event in July offers free sports physicals to ensure the health and safety of young athletes. You do not have to be an established patient at SCFM to get a sports physical on this special day.
Regular check-ups monitor your child's growth, development and overall health.
We provide essential vaccinations to protect your child from preventable diseases.
Early detection and intervention for developmental and behavioral concerns are a key focus.
Books are distributed at pediatric visits through the Reach Out and Read program.
A program offering offers social support, education and supplies for families of children up to 3 years of age.
Confidential and professional services are available for adolescent health.
Adult Medicine
We offer comprehensive care for a variety of acute health conditions, including illness, injury, ER/hospital follow up and more. Appointments for these acute concerns are often available up to the day prior or even on the same day.
Regular check-ups promote overall health and wellbeing.
Keep up to date with recommended vaccinations to safeguard your health. We typically have the following immunizations in stock: Tetanus, influenza (flu), pneumonia, hepatitis A & B and shingles (depending on insurance).
We specialize in managing conditions like diabetes (Types 1 and 2), hypertension/high blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid disorders, skin conditions, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, musculoskeletal pain, weight management, anxiety, depression, heart disease and many others.
Behavioral Health
Counseling and Medication Management
We provide support and treatment for common psychiatric issues, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Grief Counseling
Our compassionate approach helps individuals navigate the challenges of loss and bereavement.
Geriatrics
We offer specialized inpatient and outpatient care for seniors, to address the unique health care needs of older adults.
Our team ensures that seniors receive appropriate medication management and supervision. Pharmacist consultations available.
Comprehensive Medicare wellness visits are conducted to keep seniors healthy and engaged.
We provide specialized care and monitoring for patients on Coumadin.
Our providers visit Prestige Care Center of Pueblo (formerly Belmont Lodge) regularly.
We work with all community home health agencies to get you the resources you need to thrive.
Other Specialty Clinics
Our dermatology services cover skin examinations and common procedures such as biopsies and removal of cysts, lipomas, moles and skintags.
Led by our osteopathic faculty physicians, many of our clinic physicians offer specialty OMT clinics to help relieve a variety of medical issues.
Many of our providers can offer acupuncture treatments for your muscular issues. We offer an acupuncture clinic about once a week.
We manage cervical dysplasia or other abnormal pap smears and provide follow-up care as indicated.
Our ultrasound services include most point-of-care ultrasound exams, including clinics for obstetric ultrasounds and screening for abdominal aortic aneurysms.
We have expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and manage our higher risk moms in conjunction with MFM consultation.
Our physicians and pharmacists work together to help you manage this high-risk medication.
Provided by SCFM faculty Drs Lloyd and Culberson at St Mary-Corwin Hospital.
A conveniently located harm reduction clinic at Pueblo’s downtown needle exchange to help meet acute needs in this population.
